Leading this workshop will be Ellen McGuiness – an experienced grant funding specialist and consultant, who has worked extensively in the film exhibition sector; she is well-versed in the landscape of fundraising.
In this workshop Ellen will cover:
- How to research funders
- Telling your story and proposal writing
- Budgets
- Finding contextual information to strengthen your proposal
- Applying to funders with a broad remit outside of film
- How the covid-19 pandemic has affected grant funding priorities
About the facilitator
Ellen McGuiness is an experienced fundraiser, who specialises in grant fundraising. Ellen has worked as a freelance consultant for three years, and previously worked for the BFI in a fundraising capacity for several years. Working across the arts and heritage sector, Ellen has a special interest in film – especially education and inclusion projects!
Ellen’s clients include BFI, FilmBath, Film London, Into Film, Birds Eye View Film, Renaissance Studios and Shobana Jeyasingh Dance.
