Thursday 23 September, 2-4pm
MAC, Birmingham

Join us for our first in-person event for a very long time, and for a drink at the bar after.

As Matchbox Cinesub, Sean Welsh has worked with a wide range of film festivals, film-makers, distributors and venues to produce SDH/captions for 800+ films and short films. As Matchbox Cineclub, he's delivered countless film events and festivals, including Cage-a-rama, KeanuCon and Weird Weekend.

In this workshop, he will cover first the basic principles of subtitling films for access and then the practical/technical aspects of access provision for film exhibition.

You'll learn how to tell your .ass from your Premiere Pro, all the requisite technical terminology and everything from handling delivered access materials to creating your own, for a variety of contexts related to film exhibition.
