Where to find reviews?
There is currently a lack of mainstream critics reviewing immersive arts and broader screen content. This article by author, journalist and editor Holly Williams addresses this gap and offers some solutions and commentary on the inaugural Annwn Prize 2026, an award led by Wales Millennium Centre and Crossover Labs, which recognises excellence in immersive storytelling using creative technologies.

The VR Critic, set up and run by Dr Luke Buckmaster, is a personal review website from a professional film and TV critic looking at the most recent consumer-facing VR experiences. Having worked as a critic since 1997, expect well-written and considered reviews on the most recently released VR experiences intended for at-home and hobbyist audiences, which should port into an in-venue exhibition space quite well in most cases.

The self-styled “guide to everything immersive”, No Proscenium is the one-stop shop website for all things interviews and reviews when it comes to the ever-expanding world of immersive experiences. Mainly focused on reviewing US work, but branching out more and more to the UK, Japan, and further afield, this website and podcast has stood the test of time and continues to provide insight into the direction of industry as a whole at both the grassroots and big budget production levels.
