"The festival showcased some unique voices from around the world, and bringing those films back to Mockingbird will definitely give us an edge"

Attending the Venice Film Festival gave me the chance to catch big films like Joker 2Broken RageQueer, and 2073, along with a range of indie and world cinema that really stood out. Being the only first-run cinema in Birmingham, this experience helps us keep our programming fresh and diverse.

The festival showcased some unique voices from around the world, and bringing those films back to Mockingbird will definitely give us an edge. It’s important to keep things interesting, not just with blockbusters, but also by offering something different that our audience wouldn’t usually get to see.

By mixing in more world cinema and independent films, we’ll offer something new and exciting, making Mockingbird a place where people can experience a broader range of stories and perspectives.
