Reforming the Image is looking at the ways in which Black representation has evolved to show different perspectives of the black experience. In this season we will be looking at some rare gems from the archives and compare them with contemporary representations of the black experience.

To coincide with the season we will be publishing a series of Cine-Lit podcasts talking to people in the film industry from ethnically diverse backgrounds about representation on screen throughout September and October.

Reforming the Image has been made possible with support from Film Hub Midlands through funds from the National Lottery. Film Hub Midlands support people to watch, show, and make films in the Midlands.
