APPLICATIONS OPEN: Producing for Animation Workshop with Animate Projects.

If you are an animator looking to move into producing other independent animators work or a producer working in live-action film and would like to understand what it takes to produce animated short-form content then apply to take part in this workshop with Abigail at Animate Projects.

The session will be a whistle-stop tour of production, including how to work with directors, animators, and other crew, how to bring a story from the page to screen, pitching your project, working with a 2D pipeline, creating production schedules and budgets, and distributing your animated short film.

Eligibility
To be eligible to take part in this workshop you need to be a Midlands based animator who is looking to build a slate of new short-form work with other animation writers and directors or a live-action producer looking to work with animators on short-form animation projects.

Abigail has produced thematic slates of shorts for Channel 4’s Random Acts, Silent Signal, a large-scale touring art & science project that received Wellcome Trust support, and Untold Tales, micro-commissions for Instagram. She co-produced experimental animation I’M OK by Elizabeth Hobbs with the National Film Board of Canada, which was nominated for the BAFTA British Short Animation 2019.

In 2020, Abigail produced animated short CHADO with artist Dominica Harrison that had BFI NETWORK support and Nude Triumphant with artist Leo Crane with Arts Council England support. She is currently producing several short form projects including TREASURE with director Samantha Moore that is supported by the BFI NETWORK in the Midlands.

Abigail is also the Animation Production Liaison Executive at ScreenSkills and sits on the Advisory Board of Animation Alliance UK.
