BFI NETWORK teams at Film Hub South West, South East and Midlands are once again coming together to run an online networking event for writers, directors and writer-directors based in our regions who are looking for a UK-based producer to collaborate with on a short form narrative project that they intend to submit to the BFI NETWORK Short Film Fund.
The event will run via online platform Deal Room on Thursday 12 August 2021 between 9am and 8pm and enable talent to book private 121s with those whose profiles indicate they might be possible future collaborators.

Who can apply:
Participation in the BFI NETWORK CONNECT+COLLAB is free and open to:
- UK based producers from all creative disciplines with aspirations to produce short films
- Writers, directors and writer-directors based in the South West, South East and Midlands regions of England (as defined by the BFI UK nations and regions map).
As space is limited, there is a selection process before your attendance is confirmed.
To apply you must be:
- 18 or over
- Not in full-time education
- Based in the UK
- Actively looking to develop narrative short film projects (under 15 minutes) that would be eligible for the BFI NETWORK Short Film Fund (download the guidelines here)
- Available to attend the online event on Thursday 12 August 2021 9am-8pm for either the full day or part of the day.
