BFI Film Academy offers opportunities for 16-25 year olds, anywhere in the UK, to get to know more about film and how to forge a career in the screen industries. 

The Young Talent Coordinator at Film Hub Midlands who manages and oversees the programme, works closely with cultural arts organisations, venues and young people across the Midlands to provide a wide range of exciting activities in the region.

We have created an extensive page of regional and national resources for young people aged 16-25 can engage as part of their CPD. We try to update this page regularly.

 

Do you have a news section?

Yes we do! This is where we share other regional and national news, updates and case studies which we feel support young creatives in the Midlands.

 

I’m out of the 16-25 age range, can I take part?

Due to the nature of funding, our activities are for aspiring or emerging young creatives aged 16-25 looking to engage with the screen industry.

  • If you are 15 and below, you can connect with Into Film which is a national film education programme.
  • If you are 18-26 and upwards,  you can connect with our BFI NETWORK programme.

 

Access to Activity

We offer financial bursaries for travel and ticket/fee reimbursements for any young person aged 16-25 who’s attended our events and activities.
