Join us for the latest Midlands BFI NETWORK Live Webinar. We welcome Rebecca Gregory-Clarke, Head of Immersive at StoryFutures Academy for the first session of our season exploring immersive filmmaking.  

This session will introduce emerging filmmakers to StoryFutures Academy, looking at the unique opportunities that working in immersive can bring. Rebecca will also talk about the opportunities out there for filmmakers working in or thinking of making work in this form.

Delivering cutting edge training for the national screen industries, StoryFutures Academy is the UK’s National Centre for Immersive Storytelling led by the National Film and Television School, and partnered by Royal Holloway, University of London and Brunel University.

Rebecca Gregory-Clarke
Rebecca was formerly Head of Technology - Immersive at Digital Catapult, whose remit is to drive early adoption of advanced digital technologies to make UK businesses more competitive and productive. During her time there, Rebecca explored new applications for virtual and augmented reality across industries, and helped to run initiatives including CreativeXR, which supports early stage creative content projects using VR and AR. Previously, Rebecca worked as a Development Producer for BBC Connected Studio, delivering a range of digital innovation projects, including a set of ambitious experimental VR pilots. Prior to this, she worked as a Research Engineer for BBC R&D, where her main focus was on developing front-end software for prototypes that enhance the viewing of large, live events such as the Commonwealth Games 2014.
